There is something so gratifying about baking nutritious and tasty treats for those you love. This delicious recipe combines spinach, squash and carrot in a biscuit that is easy to take on walks or keep handy in the cookie jar when doggo is being extra good. What makes these dog biscuits healthy?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Spinach: Full of good vitamins and minerals (including vitamins A, C, E, Calcium, iron and potassium) and protein.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Carrot: Contains beta carotene which is beneficial for vision.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Zucchini: Contains a lot of fibre that is good for digestion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Banana: Contains potassium which can help reduce high blood pressure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Flaxseed: A good source of fibre, phytochemicals and vegetable omega-3 fatty acids.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Oats: A gluten-free alternative that contains B vitamins \u2013 good for skin and fur.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Dog biscuit ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • 3 cups oatmeal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • 1 carrot<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • 1\/2 squash<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • 1 handful of spinach<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • 1 tablespoon coconut oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • 2 tablespoons flaxseed<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • 1 banana (most)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • 2 eggs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Directions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      1. Set the oven to 180 degrees and place baking paper on a baking tray.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Measure 3 cups of oat flour. Tip: You can make your own oat flour by using a blender. Put the oats in the blender and mix until you get a fine flour (about 1 minute). Put the oatmeal in a large bowl.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Grate the carrot and zucchini.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Roughly chop the spinach and put all the vegetables in the bowl together with the oat flour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. Add a large tablespoon of coconut oil and 2 tablespoons of flaxseed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      6. Mash a medium\/large banana with a fork and put it in the bowl with the flour and<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      7. the vegetables.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      8. Add 2 eggs to the mix and stir everything into a firm dough. Knead it lightly to make sure everything is mixed well and the dough is dry enough. Add more oat flour if needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      9. Sprinkle some oatmeal on the kitchen counter and roll out the dough to a thickness of about \u00bd cm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
