Job creation initiative

Brak-chuck was created and funded by Gravitron – a practical effects company based in Cape Town, to help support our “Full time” freelance crew due to loss of work caused by Covid based lockdowns and cancelled projects. Gravitron’s workshop facilities and office infrastructure is at the disposal of this project at no cost whatsoever. All research and development was undertaken by Gravitron at its own cost. All income generated by the sale of Brak-chucks goes directly to the people who make them, and also covers the basic cost of materials. The future plan is to keep developing our product and expand on the product line by developing new concepts. Our industry is highly seasonal and unpredictable often leading to months of unemployment of our highly skilled and dedicated crew.
